When Barbara and Nove Meyers moved to Port Orchard a few years ago, they looked for a local restaurant where they knew the food would be consistently good, fresh, and have a home-made quality. They hoped to find a place where they could go when they just didn’t feel like cooking, but also could take visitors for something a bit more special.

After waiting at one place for over an hour to get a mediocre meal, Barbara, who has an extensive food-service background, said, “I know I can do better than this.” Well, a few months later that restaurant closed and the Meyers’ had the opportunity to buy the building and the idea for “Everybody’s American Cookhouse” was born.

Now, after a year of hard work and extensive remodeling, you are welcome to enjoy the place where “everybody’s somebody at everybody’s.” We specialize in home-style Northwest comfort food. In our dining room, or intimate lounge, you can enjoy your favorite cocktails, wines, and local microbrews. Catch your favorite team in our Sports Theater, featuring over 20 TVs, and the largest sports screen in Kitsap County. If you didn’t save room for dessert, you can always take something home from our in-house bakery.

Our goal is to create a place where our neighbors can enjoy quality food and good times in a clean, fun, and safe environment. We also strive to be a part of the Port Orchard community and surrounding areas. When we created our space, we involved a number of local Artisans whose work is featured throughout the property. We work with the Kitsap Helpline Nursery, to grow many of the vegetables and herbs you will enjoy with your meal. We offer the freshest produce available, and help to feed those in need. We also offer special events and activities throughout the year to support various community groups.
